Captain's Words has two content layers.
Main story layer¶
Finite, handcrafted, emotionally important.

Living world layer¶
Reusable, repeatable, long-term.
After the child has met an NPC, that NPC can continue offering new problems:
- Merchant receives a new shipment
- Fisherman finds damaged nets
- Lighthouse keeper finds an old map note
- Harbour master needs missing place names restored
- Carpenter needs help labelling wood supplies
Controls:
- daily/weekly NPC jobs
- repeated practice sessions
- optional collectibles
- house decorations
- relationship growth
- world maintenance problems

The story moves forward, but the world keeps living.
