14. Consistency Workflow¶
Recommended workflow¶
- Generate 8–20 variations of one asset.
- Pick the best candidate.
- Save it as the official base asset.
- Generate states using the approved asset as reference.
- Clean up in Aseprite.
- Export final sprite.
- Add metadata file.
- Test in map.
- Only then generate related variants.
Do not generate every asset in one batch¶
This will create style drift.
Recommended order:
- Water, sand, dock.
- Captain.
- Fisherman.
- Bottle and scroll.
- Fishing net broken/repaired.
- Dialogue and letter UI.
- FX.
- First playable mission.
- Then expand Harbour.

The kit is more important than any single image.
